PCI EXPRESS X8 BUS ISOLATION EXTENDER
& PCI EXPRESS X8 REGULAR BUS EXTENDER
Two new products were announced today by Adex Electronics, Inc. The first product is the
PEX8IX, a PCI Express X8 bus isolation extender that allows the user to test eight channel
PCI Express add-on boards quickly, without having to power up and down the system to do
so. The second product is the PEXP8-EX, a PCI Express X8 regular bus extender which
features pluggable fuses, power indicating LEDs and external power input connection.
The new PEX8IX, PCI Express X8 bus
isolation extender will save valuable
time and labor in the production field, as well as the test and development
stages. This bus will also protect the motherboard from damage caused by bad
boards, under test. It has many outstanding features such as: local or external power and
signal isolation controls and fused power lines, with short circuit sensing, etc. It will
also allow external voltage margin and current
measurement. The dimensions are: 7.1”L x 2.3”H.

The new PEXP8-EX , PCI Express X8 regular
bus extender will allow end
users to change position of pluggable fuses in order to allow power from the
motherboard or from an external source to power the PCI Express I/O board,
on top of the PEXP8-EX extender. This board also allows for external voltage
margin and current measurement. It can be ordered with optional header pins,
for signal probing, or with a connector on the solder (A) side. The dimensions
